Prof.Alex Kot Chichung
Fellow of the Academy of Engineering, Singapore,  Fellow of IEEE and Fellow of IES
Nanyang Technology University, Singapore

 

Prof. Kot has been with the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore since 1991. He headed the Division of Information Engineering at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) for eight years. He was the Vice Dean Research and Associate Chair (Research) for the School of EEE for three years, overseeing the research activities for the School with over 200 faculty members. He was the Associate Dean (Graduate Studies) for the College of Engineering (COE) for eight years. He is currently the Director of ROSE Lab [Rapid(Rich) Object SEearch Lab) and the Director of NTU-PKU Joint Research Institue . He has published extensively with over 300 technical papers in the areas of signal processing for communication, biometrics recognition, authentication, image forensics, machine learning and AI. He has two USA and one Singapore patents granted.

Dr. Kot served as Associate Editor for a number of IEEE transactions, including IEEE TSP, IMM, TCSVT, TCAS-I, TCAS-II, TIP, SPM, SPL, JSTSP, JASP, TIFS, etc. He was a TC member for several IEEE Technical Committee in SPS and CASS. He has served the IEEE in various capacities such as the General Co-Chair for the 2004 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP) and area/track chairs for several IEEE flagship conferences. He also served as the IEEE Signal Processing Society Distinguished Lecturer Program Coordinator and the Chapters Chair for IEEE Signal Processing Chapters worldwide. He received the Best Teacher of The Year Award at NTU, the Microsoft MSRA Award and as a co-author for several award papers. He was elected as the IEEE CAS Distinguished Lecturer in 2005. He was a Vice President in the Signal Processing Society and IEEE Signal Processing Society Distinguished Lecturer. He is now a Fellow of the Academy of Engineering, Singapore, a Fellow of IEEE and a Fellow of IES.

Prof. Hongzhi Wang,
Harbin Institute of Technology, China

Hongzhi Wang, Professor, PHD supervisor, the head of massive data computing center, the secretary general of ACM SIGMOD China, outstanding CCF member, IEEE Senior member, a standing committee member CCF databases and a member of CCF big data committee. Research Fields include big data management and analysis, database systems, knowledge engineering and data quality. He was “starring track” visiting professor at MSRA and postdoctoral fellow at University of California, Irvine. Prof. Wang has been PI for more than 10 national or international projects including NSFC key project, NSFC projects and National Technical support project, and co-PI for more than 10 national projects include 973 project, 863 project and NSFC key projects. He also serves as a member of ACM Data Science Task Force. He has won First natural science prize of Heilongjiang Province, MOE technological First award, Microsoft Fellowship, IBM PHD Fellowship and Chinese excellent database engineer. His publications include over 300 papers in the journals and conferences such as VLDB Journal, IEEE TKDE, VLDB, SIGMOD, ICDE and SIGIR, 6 books and 6 book chapters. His PHD thesis was elected to be outstanding PHD dissertation of CCF and Harbin Institute of Technology. He severs as the reviewer of more than 20 international journal including VLDB Journal, IEEE TKDE, and PC members of over 50 international conferences including SIGMOD, VLDB, KDD, ICML, NeurpIS, ICDE, etc. His papers were cited more than 3500 times. Prof. Xiaodong Yue,
Shanghai University, China

 

Dr. Xiaodong Yue is a professor in the School of Computer Engineering & Science and AI Institute at Shanghai University. Before joining Shanghai University, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science & Technology at Tongji University. He also received the Ph.D. degree from Tongji University in 2010. In 2008, he was a research assistant in the Department of Computer Science at Hong Kong Baptist University. In 2017, he was a research fellow at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. From 2011 to 2012, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Faculty of Engineering & Info Tech. at University of Technology, Sydney.
The major research interests of Dr. Yue include the theories and applications of Machine Learning, in which he has the special focus on Soft Computing, Image Analysis and Data Mining. He has published more than 80 academic papers in these areas, including prestigious journals and international conferences. Dr. Yue has supervised 4 national research foundations of China as a principal investigator. He also joined in 6 relevant national research projects and 3 engineering projects as a major participant in recent years.
In the past five years, Dr. Yue served as a PC member for a number of international conferences such as AAAI, PAKDD, ICONIP and also served as a conference chair of Belief 2021 and a publication chair for ICME2012, DSAA2014 and RSKT2014. He is an area editor of International Journal of Approximate Reasoning (IJAR) and the Elsevier journal Array. He also served as a reviewer for several international journals such as IEEE TFS, Pattern Recognition, Information Sciences and Knowledge-based Systems.

Assoc. Prof. Andrew Keong Ng
CEng, SMIEEE, Sr. MIES, MIET, AMIRSE
Singapore Institute of Technology, Singapore

 

Dr. Andrew Ng is an Associate Professor with Singapore Institute of Technology. He is a Chartered Engineer with the UK Engineering Council and serves on the committees of various local and international professional engineering institutions, such as Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES), Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE). He is a Senior Member of IEEE and IES; a Consultant and Advisor to startups and multinational corporations; and a Guest Editor of a special issue of an international journal. In addition, Dr. Ng is a Principal Investigator of several grants amounting to more than SGD 1 million. He holds one international patent and has over 25 publications as both first and corresponding author. His research and development innovations have also garnered him several prestigious awards, such as Outstanding Researcher Award, Teaching Excellence Award, Amity Researcher Award, Young Investigator Award, and National Instruments Editor’s Choice Engineering Impact Award. Furthermore, Dr. Ng has been a keynote and an invited speaker at various international conferences. He has also been frequently quoted and interviewed by news media on railway transportation issues and current affairs.

 

Assoc. Prof. Gang Liu,
Harbin Engineering University, China

 

Gang Liu, Ph.D., associate professor, main research directions: artificial intelligence, natural language processing, computer vision, data mining, machine learning, computer network. Born in September 1976, he started working in the College of Computer Science and Technology, Harbin Engineering University in 1999. In 2005, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and a visiting scholar at Monash University in Australia in 2014. Expert of the Information Construction Professional Committee of the Education Logistics Association of the Ministry of Education of China, and an expert of the Education and Examination Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. Member of IEEE, member of ACM, senior member of China Computer Federation, member of China Artificial Intelligence Society, member of Chinese Information Society of China. For a long time, he has been engaged in teaching and research work in software and theory, pattern recognition and intelligent systems in colleges and universities. Undertook 1 National Natural Science Foundation Project, 1 National Key R&D Program Project, 2 National Science and Technology Support Program Projects, 1 Ministry of Education Planning Fund Project, 2 State Key Laboratory Open Funds, 1 China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, 1 Heilongjiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He has won 1 second prize of China Informatization Achievement Award, 1 second prize of Heilongjiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, 2 third prizes, 8 patents and 14 software copyrights. He has published more than 70 academic papers in international academic journals and international academic conferences, and more than 50 papers have been indexed by SCI and EI. Published 5 monographs and textbooks.

 

Assoc. Prof. Lin Li,
Xidian University, China

Lin Li, associate professor of Xidian University since 2011. From February 2016 to February 2017, he was a research scholar with University of Missouri-St. Louis, MO. He is currently the Vice Chair of the Department of Electronics Engineering at Xidian University.
He is senior member of Chinese Institute of Electronics, member of IEEE, special commentator of American Mathematical Review. He has published more than 80 papers in domestic and foreign journals and conferences such as IEEE TSP, IEEE TAES, ACHA, SP, MSSP, DSP, Journal of Electronics and Information. He has applied for more than 40 invention patents.
His research interest includes the separation of radar signals, time-frequency analysis of nonstationary signals, and incoherent scattering radar signal processing.
